Baker Assistant

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Baker Assistant. As a Baker Assistant, you will work closely with our talented bakers to ensure the smooth operation of our bakery. You will assist in preparing and baking a variety of delicious pastries, bread, and other baked goods.

Responsibilities:

– Assist in measuring and mixing ingredients according to recipes

– Prepare doughs, batters, fillings, and icings

– Operate various baking equipment, such as mixers, ovens, and proofers

– Monitor baking process and adjust temperatures or timing as necessary

– Assist in decorating cakes, cookies, and pastries

– Clean and maintain work area, equipment, and utensils

– Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations

– Assist in inventory management and restocking supplies as needed

Requirements:

– Previous experience in a bakery or food preparation setting is preferred but not required

– Basic knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients

– Ability to follow recipes accurately

– Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

– Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines

– Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects as needed
