Job description

The Health & Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring the health and safety of employees in the workplace. They will develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures, and provide training to employees regarding these policies. The Health & Safety Officer will also conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.

Responsibilities:

– Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures

– Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify hazards and assess risks

– Provide training to employees on health and safety topics

– Investigate accidents or incidents to determine causes and recommend preventive measures

– Maintain accurate records of all health and safety activities

– Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices

– Collaborate with management to ensure compliance with health and safety standards

– Communicate effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders regarding health and safety matters

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or a relevant field is preferred

– Holding NEBOSH-IGC IOSH Certificate or Equivalent thereto

– Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics

– Minimum 3 years of work experience in Health & Safety
