Mason

Job description

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mason to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of brick, stone, or concrete. They should have a strong eye for detail and possess excellent craftsmanship skills.

Responsibilities:

– Read blueprints or other specifications to determine the layout and dimensions of the structure

– Prepare the construction site by cleaning and leveling the area

– Mix mortar or grout according to the required consistency

– Lay bricks, stones, or other materials in a precise manner to create walls, arches, or other structures

– Cut or shape bricks or stones using hand tools or power tools as needed

– Apply mortar or other binding substances to secure the materials in place

– Repair existing structures by replacing damaged bricks or stones

– Clean and polish surfaces to ensure a high-quality finish

– Follow safety guidelines at all times to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment

Requirements:

– Proven work experience as a Mason

– Excellent knowledge of masonry tools and equipment

– Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision

– Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks
